Hailing from the snow-covered high country of northern Victoria, Jack Raymond is truly 'the voice of the mountain'. His rootsy, relaxed, 'Aussie-Americana' style has a deep, laidback groove, for songs with emotional punch. Jack tells stories of his life travels, with songcraft drawing inspiration from the great wordsmiths and writers who paved the roots music way. Raymond’s voice is raw, powerful, unrefined and gritty as he speaks a truth told only from the corner of whiskey bars at 2am - His soul is left bare from expression throughout his songwriting and His songs are a true reflection of this sentiment. Following a successful tour spanning across QLD, NSW & VIC, Jack Raymond has been preparing relentlessly for his debut album “The Long Story Short” to enter the world. Hauling inspiration from bands like Mumford & Sons,The Tesky Brothers and Tom Waits . Jack Raymond has many notable festivals under his belt, including slots at Kiama Blues Festival, The Gympie Muster & Sofar Sounds. In late 2022, Jack went on to become a finalist in the Australian Busking Championships and supporting touring acts, Riley Pearce, Hatz Fitz, Cara Robinson, Darren Hanlon, Macondo Blowout, Ben Smith Band, Fat Picnic, Those Folk, Shannon Sol Carrol, The Long Johns... to name a few.
